Ok, I might have gone slightly overboard on the Title, but this is one of the best WWII aircraft disposal clips I have ever seen (might actually be the only one).

Didn’t notice it before, but you are right: its not a big-ass bird.

If I have to take a wild guess, I’ll say its “The Swoose” as this B-17D was retrieved from Kingman air field in 1946. Later in the clip, there is a close up of “The Swoose” name-tag. She is now the only surviving shark-tale B-17.

That looks to be a very early model B17 in formation with the camera aircraft?
