I was wondering whether anyone can offer me some advice. Mrs Yak11Fan decided to wash her metalic silver Clio last night and got a bit carried away with removing flies off the bonnet resulting in some minor scratching, probably only in the lacquer.
Anyone have any ideas as to how I can possibly rectify this situation, special polishes etc?
Many Thanks

Any suggestions for marked lacquer from bird droppings? (on my Clio!) t-cut?

T-Cut should do the trick, nip along to Halfords in Paisley for some. 🙂

A friend of ming is working as car body “magician”.
They have a kind of eraser. He fixed a couple of scratches on my car and is was great.
However I don’t remember the name of the stuff.

Cheers guys, that Farecla stuff sounds like a good idea, I’ll see what I can find on the way home tonight.
Glad I don’t have to worry about scratches on my old Laguna!!!!

A company called “Farecla” do a very good scratch remover. I have used it on a metallic silver Saxo and it has removed some minor scratching from when I went far too close to a tree.
Not sure if they have a website, I had it given to me so I am not sure where it can be sourced. I do know they supply the trade though.
Hope this may help.

May be a colour restorer or t-cut would do the job, I’d check with a local supplier or garage. Metallic paints can be ruined if the wrong substance is used.
