I see that those s****y little scumbag yobs have been at it again vandalising First World War British graves, in fact they went one better this time in actually burning the cemetery register. If this is anything to do with current affairs it still has nothing to do with these brave men who died defending not only Britain but also France in that terrible so called war to end all wars.
I have a deep interest in the great war and have visited the Western Front on many occasions and have respect for the fallen of all nations and this deeply upsets me 🙁

Could have been a Briton who just got back from Adinkerke (Belgium) with loads of beer and cigarettes who was so drunk he decided to take a visit to the cemetary. It’s not important from what country they are, lets just call them scumbags.

Regarding the nationality of the yobs I was going by the newspapers. Anyway I have since removed the yobs nationality as I don’t want to cause any upset to our European friends on the forom.

Hand – I share your view. From what I read the vast majority of French people share your disgust at the vandalism. This disgraceful, disrespectful act should not lead to attacks on the French people, who, from the many I’ve met, are thoroughly decent.

This vandalism has been already condemned by some of us in a previous post. (see “disgrace”).
However how do you know that those “yobs” are French ?
This area is next to a couple of borders .
According with the officials this outrageous act has nothing to do with racism or politics.
Anyway , I agree it’s a scandal , it upsets me as well and I have the deepest respect for those privates who gave their lives and their families.
