Just back from two weeks in California, taking in quite a few aircraft museums and airfields.
First visit was to the San Diego Aerospace Museum facility at Gillespie Field.
I’ll post more photo’s from the others museums/airfields as I sort them from the 100’s and 100’s that I took !

cool – how long has this facility been there? I did my commercial licence at this field and don’t remember anything like this! (1990) 😮

The Invader is in the museums compound, but does not look like it had been there long, as no grass had grown around the wheels.
It is in very good condition – anybody know if is a flyer, or has been recently?

Has the B26 moved over to the museum area now? When I was there it was on the other side of the airfield by the CAF hangar, i’d be very interested to see any more pics you have of the area when you get a chance.
