I was just wondering if anyone has the following data for the Sea Fury as I would like to fill in the missing blanks for an FS2004 Flight Model I’m working on.
Aileron Length
Aileron Area
Fin Area
Rudder Area
Elevator Area
Horizontal Stab Area
Tailplane Span
Control Surface Movements (in Degrees)
Prop Diameter
Also, does anyone know what the angles were for the ‘TAKE OFF’ & ‘MAX LIFT’ settings for the flaps were?
And does anyone have any detailed perfomance data for the FB.10 & 11 similar to that found at the Spitfire Performance Testing site?
Cheers
Paul

Don’t be caught out that the tail on the T-20 is longer span than the single seater. Just to make it more interesting, some US Warbird owners have a T-20 tail fitted to their single seaters.
The MAP Plans, where you can measure much of this info are quite accurate. HTH!

Thanks ‘bradburger’ about the video footage 🙂
I am pretty sure the only thing that the Sea Fury and Tempest II share in common is the engine bulkhead, everything else is different.

Paul.
Did the Sea Fury have the same tailplane as the Tempest II? I’ve just measured the tailplane span of the Sea Fury from a plan (Aeroplane Monthly April 1986) and it comes out at 13′ 9″ – the same as the published figure for the Tempest II.
Got your PM ;o)
Best wishes

Steve thanks for that.
Matches the source I have.
Did you get my PM btw?

Paul,
The only info that I have been able to find is that the 5 bladed prop was a 12′ 9″ Rotol.
Best wishes

Is there any possibility that you could post the video footage 🙂 😮
There sure is stringbag.
Just got to clear some space on my PC first before I start transfering & editing!
Also have some footage from Legends to sort through for possible upload. 😉
Cheers

Are you one half of the David Hanvey / Paul Barry duo responsible for the existing freeware FS9 Sea Fury?
Sadly no, just updating a previous FM I did for it.
It’s a very nice model and they did quite a few of them including the T.20. 🙂
After watching the RNHF’s machine display at OW last weekend and the video I took of it, I felt like getting some virtual stick time in it again!
Cheers
