Hi All,
Motivated by my distant airshow memories, and the desire to build a model kit for the first time in 10 years ……
I am building a model of the Late Spencer Flacks ‘Red’ Sea Fury, I’m not sure what shade/tone of Red to use???? If anybody can assist or has a view this would be greatly appreciated!
I’ve looked through previous postings however I was hoping someone here may be able to assist?
Many Thanks!

Hi Black Knight,I believe part of it was sold to Guido Zuccoli here in Australia as part of a spares package, Guido purchased a couple of containers of various parts to assist in the three rebuilds here and I remember seeing a centre section painted red with a wing the same colour and blue & red stripes on the tip.Since the ex German aircraft had no stripe I assume this was G-FURY,cheers,Pete

That was Spencer Flacks he also had a Spitfire in the same colour but with flashing strobes at the end of the cannons. looked effective on a strafing run.:)

Wasn’t it destroyed in a forced landing near Waddington in the summer of 1981?

Try here Russ;

I know it’s mil.colours but G-FURY looks awfully close to “Red Arrows Red”,which I think you’ll find equates to Humbrol 174.
