Sea Harriers

Pictures of the Sea Harrier because I just love the Sea Harrier (or any Harrier for that matter).

That site always has cool pictures. (The Skyflash one I mean.)

Not sure about parts commonality with the current harrier fleet though.

A lot of the surplus one’s had spares reclaimed like engines, panels and all sorts of bits and bobs why keep spares for an aircraft you no longer use?

Not sure about parts commonality with the current harrier fleet though.

Yes, some SHars in storage at Shawbury, Gosport, and Culdrose. A large number are still alive at the last mentioned with the School of Flight Deck Operations where they are taxied around to teach deck handlers their trade.

Thanks both, I wasn’t suggesting that the owners should attempt a hover flight, I was just curious as to whether the CAA would allow it to happen!

Tethered is flying and would be very easy to reduce to parts….so, no

The owner of JET ART says no to any flight of 130 due to insurance and other issues.

Just wondering, would the CAA allow XZ130 to perform tethered hovered flights and if so, would the aircraft have to be fully flight worthy first?

Two private GR3s are runners , I haven’t heard of a private SHAR ground running in this country, of course Art has his flying in the states.

Flying a private Leaping Heap in this country? Complex airframe if it has auto stabilisation, so not a chance.
