Due to circumstances currently out of my control, I very reluctantly have to offer Sea Hawk cockpit WV838 up for sale. She’s already trailer mounted and ready to roll. Please see the web site for her history.

will she stay in UK ??
Of course she will.

I think it indicates a reluctant sale.
Ah good point. I’ll put that down to the limited number of smileys that can be used on this forum.
Perhaps an additional one shedding tears could be added/more appropriate ?
😉

Ah, so its found a buyer then ? That is good news.
But the addition of a ‘frowning smiley’ would point the other way perhaps ?

So sorry to hear she has to go after the labour of love she’s been – but like everything other priorities loom – and YOU saved her – dont forget that – whoever owns it

Roy,
It’s such a shame that it has to go. I remember only a few weeks or so ago your questions regarding the squadron badge on her nose. She looks splendid, especially when it should considered what this was built from. Hope you find an appreciative home for her!
Rgards,
Chris
[edit] Are you going to keep the web site up?

Out of curiosity, what is the price of a cockpit like this? Shame you have to let het go 🙁
By: ollieholmes - 4th August 2006 at 00:46
Agreed.
Is the sqn badge on the nose hand-painted?
On a recant thread i asked the same question and aparently not. It was a transfer he made up on his pc.

I feel for you Roy, you’ve done an excellent job on what was once a total basket case, your talent will not go unnoticed.

Nice paint job by the way!

I can’t believe your having to let her go mate! After all the hard work you done on her too!!
Lets hope it goes to someone who knows how to look after it and also keeps it inside………….such a shame 🙁

….and the trailer’s still got wheels on it! 😮
oh dear, that line is almost as old as I am. Although I’m not liverpool born and hold no particular affiliation with the place, I must confess that the people up here are really very friendly and ‘losing your wheels’ is far less of a problem here than in many other places I could mention.

She looks fantastic Roy, again, such a shame you have to get rid. Are you from Liverpool Roy?
Yup, I’m based in Liverpool.

Roy
Could you please PM me with some more details, I know someone who is looking for a cockpit and will convey this to him (currently not on the web).
Regards,
John.

Thanks Peter – I must admit I’m absolutely gutted. I was determined to see her at at least one cockpitfest.
There’s still a box of goodies I’ve not fitted yet which would probably make her the most complete sea hawk cockpit there is.

Roy that is a shame that you have to sell her so soon after completion. I hope she goes to a good home
