Sea Vixen Air-to-Air Refuelling

Hi all

Being a budding aviation artist I want to paint Sea Vixens being refuelled in the air. My question is what aircraft would have refuelled them. I have a feeling that they may have been WFU before Victors. How about Valiants? Any thoughts very gratefully received.

Albert, that picture of a Victor just reinforces Aerodynamik’s statement about Sea Vixens refueling from Victors… but he was asking about what they did before any Victors were converted as tankers!

No so – this was taken on 30th August 1967 over Boscombe Down and appears in my book “De Havilland Twin Booms” published by Airlife.
