over 2 years ago a member of the public approached the team on Sea Vixen Xj494 at bruntingthorpe and offered to restore the pilots ejection seat. On trust we agreed and he left contact details to enable the team to ring him for updates, after an initial contact some 6 months later at which point the seat had been stripped ready for restoration, the number is uncontactable and we are left with a spare seat that was fitted for access but has no functionality as parts off it had already been transferred to the no 1 seat
If anyone knows this person and it rings a bell let us know as it is know close to running properly and needs the fully working seat back primarily as the current one is too low in the cockpit which doesn’t allow full visibility fwd, which in the vixen is marginal anyway plus this other seat has all the safety harnesses fitted
Thanks in advance
