Has anyone got or knows where we can get this type of plug from 24 pin plug with the 2 top pins larger part numbers on it are
5X/7192
2CZ111238
and
Z24915
the only hit i had on ISO parts finder was the latter
we have previously obtained similar plugs for the engine connectors via flea bay but i’ve forgotten off who
Cheers Matt

we managed to aquire most of the plugs i think, however we’ve found that at some point along the wing outer section on the port side the continuity disappears from the tip inboard we’ve managed to trace at least one of the feeds to the left hand tip lights and are still searching for the other we might be looking at trying to get new wires through the wing aarrggh but we’ll add it to the list on the board (see other thread)
In light of previous events we are also working to connect up the pitot static system so the ASI will be operative and DT has purchase a pitot static test set second hand of evil bay once we have renewed the air lines (being rubber some are rotten)

Another plug mystery
Another one to ident this time completely missing the loom but the fixed bulkhead connector is SH1 basically all the flashy things on the wing tip need a plug that fits into this pin arrangement

Thameside aero have come up trumps, turns out the T7 at brunty might need some so any not used will be going to them, this saturday i hope to disconnect and remove the remainder from the wing roots, so i’ll probably be beggin for more plugs this time sunday

Hopefully the plug problem will be sorted with one supplied by Milton of gatwick fame and the other by a company by the name of Thameside aero, hopefully this solves the main plug issue, but i’ll be adding to this thread once i’ve got the others stripped out and i’ve identified if we need to re-loom them as essential to ground running/fast taxiing as the corresponding plugs in the outer wings aren’t there
In addition all of the stbd side wing break microswitches are duff so expect a beg for them too
its all in the name of heritage
I’ve always told the wife never to throw bits of metal away but she just ain’t listening , oh and theirs the small problem of no space in service accomodation as well

I stripped out lots of these type of connectors over the years from my Hunter cockpits….some may still be in the museum but may require work.
Just goes to show, throw nothing away. If only I could persuade my wife how necessary it is to keep everything !

As Long as we can rewire the plugs then anything will do no need for airworthy NOS really, as i said because they are the general sevices plug most if not all the services we would like to work go through this connector, if anyone has a lead i’ve got some head on shots of the two connectors in particular, as the aileron control stuff goes through 2 other connectors which in the light of certain victor things we might want to have in working condition, the latest quote i had was £65 for the general services even at cost price, which is way out of my budget. With the wing folding we’d like to not go down the route of bodging it together other than for initial testing of the outer wing wiring

vixen plugs
Hi
We spoke at the 3d May Bruntingthorpe Meet; No I missed it left before it ran, thinking seen this hundreds of times, how wrong can one be.
To matters in hand
1
We will look for the plug down at GAM this Saturday. Not hopefull as it is not listed in the F.C Lane spec sheet on Plesser Breeze plug range made by weald electronics http://www.wealdelectronics.com/ F.C. Land are the distributors
They have a range of old plessey connectors and a useful .pdf listing types
IF interested THEN
GOTO http://www.fclane.com/ProductDetails.aspx?UKey=380
ELSE We will look at GAM

I hope to get hold of several EX MOD Thorn Electrics 0 to 50V 0 to 40 Amp linear Bench PSUs A couple slaved together would do 100A they have full current limiting as per usual VITAL wen trying to bring stuff up after a long layoff. You can set the current out so no smoke “well not much” Tune for minimum smoke as they say
Hope this helps

I just put your numbers into AVspares.com and got some results on the second two items. UK vendors too, so worth giving them a try. It’s free to use.
