Just been asked the question over on Britmodeller forums:
Is it possible to fold just one wing on the ‘Vixen,or do they both
have to be folded at the same time.
Any of the Brunty Sea Vicky chaps about?

forgot about that can be used to fold one wing prior to replacement

When the one wing is folded for maintenance, it requires the wing jury strut to be fitted, worth including in the diorama.

Many thanks chaps.
I’ve passed the info on to my modelling collegue.
AFAIK,he’s doing a diorama with a Vixen in maintenance, hence the question.

Why for ground use only?
Where’s the sense of adventure gone?

A wing lock can be fitted if you only want to fold one wing. But this is for ground use only.

they will always fold together, only one wing is usually indicative of an aerated hydraulic system
