Can any of you goodly chaps confirm the details of the Seafire mentioned in the participants list for the Sep 65th Anniv airshow. It is mentioned as a flyer but if true that’s news to me.
Any help would be great .Ta!

Today I had a personal tour of Kennet Aviation’s collection, including the Seafire, which is SX336/G-KASX and is frantically being worked on. This IS the one on Duxford’s list, although it looks very doubtful whether it will be flown in time. First flight is scheduled towards the end of the year.

It could just be a mistake as I can’t see the Sea Fury on the list and I am sure the RNHF website shows the Sea Fury and the Sea Hawk down for the September show!

I didn’t even realise Kennet were working on a seafire let alone nearly getting one flying. The only one I’d seen was the aforementioned US a/c. Fingers crossed.

I saw Kennets Seafire nearly 12 months ago and it was hoped it would be flying for the start of this season, but obviously not.
Don’t know how far away it is now though.

It’s probably Kennet Aviation’s Seafire, but if so, I think they are being a bit optmistic to get it for DX on the 10/11 Sept, as it hasnt flown yet.. 😮
