Seafire, Sea Fury & Banshee pics

hello all

pics from my recent trip to the Naval Museum of Alberta, very interesting place. Some of the pics are a bit fuzzy due to my lack of time getting to know my new camera before going on vacation… Also, the pics are a bit jumbled, so consider it a bit of a “what bit is that from” quiz as you go through.

The place is absolutely packed with good stuff; I only got shots of the aircraft and a few other things. They also have some of the creepiest manequins I have ever seen; a few look for all the world like real men with lots of skin-tone makeup on, and their eyes seemed to positively track you as you moved from one side of them to the other.

The hand-made model of the Scharnhorst was crafted by a crewman from the ship during his stay in a Canadaian POW camp in Lethbridge, Alberta.
