Seafires wrecked at Oakey??

Before the xmas break we came into being a collection of photo,s taken at Oakey during 1944 to 1946ish.These pics are now at our website and there are a couple of pics that had us intrigued.First is scan 009 which shows a Royal Navy Seafire which we guess is visiting the airfield.Any idea when/what carrier group? Also a mate in his earlier days notes he had recovered a lot of Seafire legs in the area after the war.Spare parts maybe or signs of that there were Seafires that were scrapped. The other pic is scan 0014 that shows a Kittyhawk.Does anyone have any info on this plane?

I need a magnifying glass…

But have picked out the last 3 digits on the Seafire as 196.No fuse codes. The MkVIII behind it is N-QY or N-GY.I think I can pin point exactly where on the base it was too.Cheers.
