Seahawk & Others – Culdrose

Just a few snaps I took at Culdrose this year. Seems like an ideal opportunity to post them here.

I believe all 3 Swordfish are down for a while with assorted problems – one of them has corrosion on the spars IIRC.

Ok thank you for the reply.

Thanks James!

Wondered myself about the stringbags… Always enjoyed seeing those 🙂 My guess is the RNHS rotate their aircraft and both Swordfish are now under maintenance…

Nice pics.

I’ve been trying to see the SeaHawk for a very long time now, but it always seems to evade me somehow. Does anybody know where it will perform this year?

Look at this: http://www.royalnavyhistoricflight.org.uk/Schedule.htm

BTW way what has happened to the two swordfish owned by RN Historic Flight

Burst tyre on landing.

I think I’ve actually posted that in Historic, before the new airshow forum.

Nice shots.
I went to Culdrose Airday many years ago (1986 ish?) but my only real memory is a Triumph Dolomite being dropped 250ft from under a SeaKing! Do they still do that kind of thing?

What’s the story with the Fire Crew and the Seahawk?

cheers
Kilvy
