Search for LWF programme (–> later F-16) info

I would like to pick up an idea posted by “bukusuma” (ACIG-forum) :

“After the excellent info from the TFX thread, I thought this is the best place to learn about the LWF competition.

I read about a good Boeing LWF contender that was beaten to the down selection by the YF-17 by virtue of having 2 engines, which was preferred by some potential users of the LWF.

Anything on this and the other LWF contenders?

I read somewhere (forgot) that actually the Boeing LWF (Model 808?) is the preferred choice.
