Season premiere, Star Trek Enterprise

I just caught the season premiere of Star Trek Enterprise and it showed 3 Mustangs climbing to intercept something (I’m assuming Enterprise) and then went on to show a large gathering attended by what appeared to be a circa 1940’s german military. Could be interesting. It shows here in Canada on Oct 10.

And at the risk of coming across as a “Trekkie”…I have to point out there was another “back in time” episode (of the original series…you know, the one with the over acting Canadian…not the one with the pompus over acting Englishman) where the Enterprise was intercepted by an F-104 Starfighter.
And there was a Bell Huey in one of the films…when they went back in time to save the whales.

Come to think of it,the Enterprise spent as much time in the past as they did in their own time. There must of been heck to pay with their weekly time cards…. 🙂

Olivier-

if I recall, it was a CLOSE call…turns out that anything anyone thought of on that planet, happened….I could think of a LOT of things that I’d like to have happen to me on a fantasy planet…getting strafed by a Hellcat isn’t among them, getting mauled by Elizabeth Hurley IS…

They go back in time? Been done before, I believe in the original series of Star Trek too. Could be interesting to see this one though.

Don’t know that it’s a “back in time” episode. It looked more like an “alternate history” type thing that would lead to a “back in time” episode. Suffice it to say that it intrigued me enough that I’m going to check it out anyway.

In one of the original episodes of Star Trek, they Trekkers beam down to a planet similar to Paradise but they wind up getting strafed on the ground by an F6F Hellcat!

Hmmm…might have to catch that one…

Likewise, on next week’s episode of ‘The Batchelor’, in the previews it looked like the batchelor and one of his girls go out on a date in the nose of a B-25…only got a quick look at it, but the two of them were laughing in the nose of what LOOKED like a B-25 (plenty of framing all around them, twin engines)….might wanna take a look next wednesday also and see if we can ID the plane…

Thats how they ended off last season. Home at last, Enterprise is unable to raise Starfleet command and all Earth orbiting space stations are missing. They dispatch a shuttlecraft to investigate and it is intercepted and fired on by a P-51 over San Francisco.

Thanks Gerry,
Although I can’t stand Enterprise-too many re-hashed stories-I’ll look out for this one.
