Seat / Parachute Harness help needed

Hello all,

I purchased this harness from ebay recently, yes I had a beer and didnt really know what it was but now I have it it is really interesting! Please help me know what it is!

So a harness produced by W A Apple Inc of Dayton Ohio, when I google them nothing really comes up.

From the pictures you will see obvious parachute harness equipment but then some extra parts that may make it semi aircraft.

I need an expert!
