Second batch of f 15 K to be powred by P&W 229

The last 20 of the F 15K will switch from the GE 110 to P&W 229. http://www.defenseindustrydaily.com/ Strange. First, having two different engines will increse logistic cost. Second, it’s unusual, since Saudi AF went the opposite, replacing P&W with GE on their F 15S :confused:

Any oppinion why?
