I can confiirm the post in DCW’s thread that John Romain successfully test flew the second Duxford Buchon G-AWHE this evening after museum hours. After a long day of test running and some technical challenges it made a 20 minute flight, the first time it had flown at Duxford since leaving the airfield when the air unit departed for Bovingdon in Autumn 1968 at the end of filming for The Battle of Britain film. More test flying will follow and yes it IS expected to be at Legends!!! 😀 Congratulations to all the team involved and to Steve and Mick from Eastern Airways at Humberside. Some preparation shots to follow in the morning.

Beautiful pictures Huw, She looks fantastic in that scheme. Such a shame we don’t ave JG891 for her to chase anymore, that really would have been nice to see!

Well considering it has only just gained this scheme I should hope so having gone to great lengths to research and apply it for the owner…
Ah good, its a beautiful looking aeroplane.
I wasn’t aware it had just been applied.

I’m amazed that no-one took any pictures on Saturday when it undertook its second flight. Maybe DCW had to recharge his batteries and take a day off from his stake-out…:D

Why would they not be allowed?
By: Zac Yates - 9th May 2011 at 08:11
Has anyone taken pictures/are pictures allowed to be posted? Or are we required to wait until July?
