Second hand aviation prints…

Hi

I’m looking to buy one or two aviation prints as christmas presents for members of my family. In both cases, the prints I like are by well know aviations artist – one by one of the Taylor brothers and another by West.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where I might be able to buy these second hand – I’ve tried Ebay but had no luck.

Thanks in advance

I’m (reluctantly) looking to part with two valuable signed prints if you are interested.

1. Augsburg Eagle by Michael Turner (388 0f 500), signed by Michael Turner and Adolg Galland.
2. Duel of Eagles by Robert Taylor to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain, signed by Douglas Bader and Adolf Galland.

Philip West’s work is published here:- http://www.swafineart.com/pages/philip.htm

If it’s currently available it will be on here.

Robert and Richard Taylor are Father and son……:D

I concur – Aces High have a good reputation, and if I had the available cash, they are who I would go to.

OR you could buy an original from me, (painted by me)…. I’m no Robert Taylor, but also have a look on the forum’s virtual art gallery to see what we have available on here!

I have always used these as they are very helpful and close to home. http://www.aceshigh-uk.com/

This firm seems to get some good comments too although I have never used them. http://www.aviationartgallery.co.uk/

Good luck and I hope you find what you are looking for.

I would highly recommend the site:
http://www.ehangar.com/

You can search for aviation art prints by artist; title of print; dealers who list that print, and current market values, along with a lot of other information, in its directories and search files. There is also an excellent (and active) forum for both the aviation artists, and aviation art collectors. Also a free wants and disposals section. Good Luck!

Buying prints

I’ve always got on well with Aces High in Wendover. I’ve only bought new but always found them very helpful. Even if they haven’t got what you want I’m sure they’ll point you in the right direction.
Theres also Vector Fine arts too.
