I’d think more VLS might be a good use of the space, if there’s room below deck. But money . . .
Officially there’s space for 16 vls.
We have a lot money in budget, 47.53 €, for extra “optional” on Doria 😀

ok ty. 🙂
Considering the large empty space in front of the VLS, are there any plans for a larg caliber gun? Like a 127mm?

Davide and Strales is the same system. Finmeccanica has probably changed the name as it did with EH-101, which has become AW-101.
One other possibility is that David is only the name of the MMI program while Strales the commercial name, as with the missile Teseo which is known as Otomat on international market.
What? I don’t understand what you mean.

Looking at the OTO-Melara site, the Davide page has been removed. A system called “Strales” is covered which uses “DART’ ammunition but next to no useful details – has Davide been axed????

Anyone know if OTO-Melara Davide will be fitted to the 76mm guns?
Surely it’s refittabile (there is yet the predisposition) for Doria and Cavour while native for FREMM.

@ enrr:
Your site about the Andrea Doria class is a very useful reference for modelling!
Do you found photos showing the TESEO launchers?
Unfortunately the links to Andrea Doria’s photos under the title “Photo by Lvb of Doria from Livorno, 02-18-2008” are not working.
Thanks you for reporting, I will correct as soon as possible

You can found the same Teseo launcher on De La Penne class because at the moment it isn’t onboard Doria class
