Hello all,
I’m researching New Zealand Sea Fury pilot Cedric MacPherson for a scale model project. He was flying Sea Fury WH620 on a strafing mission against an ammunition dump on 11 February 1953 when he was shot down by ground fire. I’ve found this undated photograph online of the aircraft but that’s it.
Are there any other photographs of WH620 out there, or of other 801 Squadron machines from February 1953 so I can speculate at its appearance then? I’d appreciate any advice or images.

Good timing as I’ve just started up research again leading up to the release of Airfix’s 1/48 Sea Fury kit. I’ve not found much at all unfortunately.

some interesting pictures from HMS Glory , can only see that photo you mentioned of that particular aircraft but there are a few of other squadron sea furys ,
