Seeking ideas on how to blow a work bonus!

Hi all,

I was lucky enough to receive a bonus from work recently. Usually, I would be sensible and save for a rainy day or something along those lines but this year, I have decided to blow it on something as unessential as possible (and of course aviation related)!! I’ve got 2 or 3 ideas in mind but wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions I had not thought of yet.

I’m working with a budget of about £650-£700 and so far, was thinking about either a flight in a Harvard, flight in a stearman or flight alongside a spitfire.

Does anyone have experience with any of these or something along the same lines and if so, how would you rate it?

Cheers!

Or you could just spend it on wine, women and song then waste what’s left over.:eagerness:

Or you could go to a DH Moth club charity flying day and get a few experiences for your money!

you don’t necessarily have to be “in” the aircraft?

you would probably get 2 breakfasts for the price of 1 aswell, if you know what I mean!

If you havn’t done this already, for that sort of money you could get at least 3 different trial flights in 1. a light aircraft, 2. a glider and 3. a Flexwing Microlight. I prefer no 3 as you can see all your surroundings.
Or you could get 1/2 hour in a Tiger Moth plus a flight in a microlight!

Well I’ve done a Tiger Moth and that was awesome, so I’d go with Stearman or Harvard for sure: a lot of places will do a dashcam-type video of your flight too (it revealed that my back-seat pilot did indeed let me do some turns because with me deep in thought in front you can see him waving his arms outside the cockpit behind me!)
