A good friend of mine is a relation of Eugene Quimby “Red” Tobin and is seeking any info to be had regarding aircraft flown by him while with 71 Squadron. Can anyone point to any photos that may exist and/or descriptions? Pretty much anything is of interest really. My friend is a modeler and would like to replicate one of his mounts, particularly a Hurricane. Thanks in advance for any and all replies.

P/O Red Tobin flew Hurricane XR-J but I do not know the serial number for that aircraft.

If I remember, and if nobody gets in in the meantime, I’ll have a look tonight. I have a pretty good book on the Eagle Squadrons which, I’m sure, has a photo of one of his aircraft in.
