Whilst, my dad always spoke of his time with the RAF in Asia, for reasons of his own, he barely mentioned the UK. All I have is this old photo, does anyone have anything they could add? Do you recognize anyone or perhaps where the picture was taken? Any gen much appreciated…….
Cheers,

Thanks David!
Mark any idea how this would tie up with Cardington? I can remember him saying that when they had to take the outh at Cardington, they only had one bible so some guy ripped out the pages and past them around to everyone??
Mpacha,
RAF Cardington, in Bedfordshire was one of several reception points of entry for ‘Basic’ training. No 2 RAF Depot, No 2 Recruit Centre and the Aircrew Medical Board were some of the units based here that might be pertinent.

Newquay is in Cornwall – i.e south western U.K . Home of the famous RAF St Mawgan
and possibly almost as famous for surfers.
