Anyone got any idea what this instrument panel may be from?
Interesting and at this moment, quite (very) cheap and not long to go! Early Firefly????? Certainly a tail-dragger!

correction it is the port side as it has the camera hole at front.

This has been on sale for a long time at a silly price.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wrackteil-Flugzeug-Lancaster-Halifax-WW2-Roy…
Decided to hunt down what it is.
English language decal, American dark green paint on inside and and butterfly nuts. Length of 77 cm and aerodynamic in two dimensions.
It is I believe the starboard mount for a P38 drop fuel tank. The post side has a camera in the front.
Still too expensive unless you happen to be restoring a P38 with a drop tank.

That flag in the second photo looks suspicious to me. The union flag in the upper left corner is upside down, which is impossible unless the flag has been made up from (at least) two parts.

Yes I came to the same conclusion as well when it first appeared, definitely Chipmunk and neither am I aware of any such RAF paint scheme.

I see this was sold by Dominic Winter back in 2014 as an Auster part.
The current owner is selling on the item with the same ident.
But it is not Auster construction and I am sure it is Chipmunk- and from the damage one that flipped.
The fin flash is not in the RAF position and the code number does not fit with any Chipmunk serials I can find (after a cursory search.)
Any ident on the actual aircraft it came from or is it a post crash repaint?
