Not sure about the potential return to flight idea with the Wessex. I understood
Westlands wouldn’t support the type in civil hands.

Same seller also has several helicopter control grips / columns for sale on ebay. Time will tell if they make the asking prices.

Seems this has been around, traveling the world, unfortunately not under it’s own power!

Stuka Control Column

WW2 German Airforce Junkers Ju 87A Stuka KG IIA Control Column Ultra Rare

Looks like a lot of work has gone into making this presentable, but leaves me wondering how much is original and is it that rare it warrants the starting bid?

Hi all , the RAAF T35 A79 660 pod is the on i used to own it could never be used as all attach points have being cut , no engine bulkhead and floor supported by 2 by 4 beams , which is why i sold it , seats panel etc. were good but pod was stuffed.

As for the Sea vamp it has being though a few owners and does have some damaged undersides and has no interior , so yes a bit dear has being listed many times.

cheers dave

As we have one complete with engine a load of spares that is potentially ground running taxi able in very good condition and could even possibly if money was available form the basis of a return to flight project. It has costs us to date less than half of the asking price of this poor shell and you would then have to transport it I understand the ex Australian T35/T22 that was at Bournemouth now on its way to SouthAfrica only went for about £25k and that is definate a flying project.

there are a few Vampire projects out there in better condition and a lot nearer in europe and a fraction of the asking price.

Sorry wishfull thinking on this one.

I know nothing about panels but the amount of ‘misidentified’ aero-engine components turning-up on eBay at the moment is truly shocking.

In the last week I’ve seen five aero-engine components with detailed histories that couldn’t possibly have come from the aircraft that it was claimed; in each case the component came from completely the wrong type of engine!

Surely these cannot all be cases of genuine misidentification?

Some are misidentifications but a large majority are just plain money making, stuff we have brought back from Russia and traded has in later years turned up on ebay as “Battle of Britain” the worst case I have seen is a Ju-87 armourers panel with the original werk number on the back, turned up on ebay with a new werk number claiming to be the “Ham Manor Golf Course” 87! the paint had flaked in such a unique way it was deffinately the same panel, luckily I photographed it before parting with it. The buyer is probably out there somewhere, he may have since found out?? if it is out there I would be happy to correct the history.

I totally agree. Perhaps we should start a topic where anyone who has some of Alf Bat’s creations can post photos. I will set one up later if enough people are interested? It would certainly put a halt to all of the initial excitement when one of his pieces turns up on ebay. It will hopefully stop buyers from being duped in the future. 🙂

Why not, good idea, I guess the only risk is maybe some genuine panels could be incorrectly associated to being ex Batt. But then again the tell tale signs are there on the ones I have seen, paint runs through rivet holes, evidence of sanding and destressing etc.
