Many seem to keep an eye to the sky (see the “Spotted” thread) looking for Historics whilst others keep their nose to the ground by browsing eBay. How about a thread then on what we have seen on eBay?
If you spot something for sale, tack it on the end of this thread. 🙂

Found this seat on the Australian E bay
Anyone have an idea what its out of? Looks American to me and
post war but i cant match the inspection stamp to any list on the net.
Definatly not Spitfire, but hey why not put that it might be in the description anyway!

Would definatly be interesting to see whats under that padding Mark.
I thought the Hardware in the pics looked like AN but its really
impossable to tell. Looks a good seat if you had the right
place to bolt it into and if some hotrodder doesnt go over the
top in price for it for his old ford coupe!

Actually it looks more British and pre-war, I think it may be Avro Cadet?, with post war civilian padding fitted?

Has been interesting to note that in the last few weeks some interesting cockpits have been up for grabs. I doubt there will be another chance to acquire a RAF Vampire FB.5, RAF Venom FB.1 or a Twin Pin all at the same time. Just goes to show there is stuff out there still to be had.
Jon
Will any of them make it to Nottinghamshire on 19 & 20 June, 2010??
:diablo: … you all know what for!! 😀

very true, in the last couple of months alone there has also been a Flying Flea, Jet Provost 3, a Chippax and two AV-8 cockpits.
credit crunch perhaps? or something deeper?
either way, surely rich pickings for all those cockpit wannabes?
I think there is alot in that, when times are tight the toys most go, however the AV-8s are from a business, and some of the others significants are from a collection.

Indeed, I wonder why he’s selling. 🙁
Afraid no idea, as he stopped replying to all forms of communication about two months ago…. I can only assume his circumstances have changed and it needs to go. It wouldnt be the first time someone has had to reprioritise and at the end of the day there are far more important things in life.
If you read this Twin Pin, hope all is well with you and the family.
