For those interested in Historic aviation, it was announced on BBC Radio Linconshire this morning that there will be a serious attempt to get Avro Lancaster NX611 based at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Center restored to flying condition. Although no date has been set, work is expected to take at least a couple of years once all the parts needed have been sourced.
Here is a link to an interview with Fred Panton, one of the two brothers that own ‘Jane’. The relevant part runs from 1:17:09 into the program.
