Some madman drove through the fence at Cork Airport after attacking a member of the police in the city. After driving round like a looney for a while he apparently tried to ram an Aer Lingus Airbus.

no word on what the reason ( if there was any ! ) was for the rampage.
Apparently the driver was “known” to the Police who tried to stop him in Cork city where he knifed one Garda, stole his jeep and then rammed another Garda car outside the airport before taking the Airport jeep and resuming his antics.
He is also known to have ripped off his clothes at one stage before he was captured ! So sounds more like a head case than any serious attempt at terrorism.

Yep ! Reporting over here isnt much better than anywhere else !
All in all a very serious incident, hard to think that a nutcase like this could get in amongst aircraft so easily. Imagine if this had happened when there was an aircraft on the move , landing or taking off.

How come this incident is not being reported on any other news channel, both BBC and Sky News…nothing at all about it, seems strange for what is quite clearly a serious breach of security and threat to aviation?:confused:
Just wait to see the Daily Mail tomorrow…am sure they’ll have a report on it with a witness from inside the terminal stating “He had a machine gun, I thought he was going to shoot me, I could have died!”…:D:diablo:
