A quite frustrating airport not helped by dull weather. We managed to take a few photos from outside the terminals at the ends overlooking some of the stands but other places were not easily accessible. The rest of the photos were taken airside when waiting for our flight to Beijing. Views over one of the runways and stands was great but so frustrating as the place is full of widebodies and the stands are nearly always full. It means trying to shoot large subjects between wings of A340s or running up and down the terminal trying to find gaps ! Many sore blisters later we ended up with a few fairly decent shots. The first set were the shots taken outside the terminal. No problems with the police here….

Airside shots to follow…

The webpage for Pudong gives the elevation as 13ft (3m)…that looks like a sea-wall behind the ANA 737
Cheers Keith. longshot, not sure about the altitude of the airport but we had to crouch down to avoid winglets and wings to get shots of taxiing traffic. The place was heaving with B747-400s, A340s, B777s etc. Hardly a free stand. The cargo was amazing but we missed most of it.

Cheers Matt. Touchy subject ! It’s Shunfeng Airlines. We didn’t get a photo of it on the trip. They have just bought 737Fs as well and they go in Hong Kong but we didn’t see it there either. 🙁
