We all take pictures when we fly. And flying is a privilege most people only dream about. Why not share our air pictures on the web?
I’ve just opened a gallery dedicated to airpictures where every pilot is welcome to display his or her pictures. The site is completely free and will remain so in the future. Photographers remain the sole owners of their pictures, giving away no copyright. There is a feature to protect pictures from illegal copying and they are copyrighted in the name of their photographer.
I’m sure we can do better than satellites.

A little improvement:
Now, when you add a picture, you get a direct link to it. You can use it to point toward your picture in a forum or a newsgroup where you can’t post images.
Try these one :
http://www.airpictures.net/scripts/add_pict.php?id=56
http://www.airpictures.net/scripts/add_pict.php?id=46
http://www.airpictures.net/scripts/add_pict.php?id=93
or http://www.airpictures.net to see the whole gallery.

One of those great ideas, so good that you wonder why no-one has done it before!
I’ll add a few of mine to it! 😀

Thanks for your comments. Any picture is welcome, as long as it was taken from an aircraft. I’m sure you have plenty of nice ones.
Looking forward to seeing your pictures…

Thiery, Interesting site, thanks for posting, I will have to have a dig through my old RAF photos, I always carried an instant camera in my flight suit.
I’ve got a great one of the Severn Bridge poking through Fog somewhere, as well as an upwards shot of electricity pylons:diablo:
