So is it worth going ? i only live 40 minutes away and my folks live right next door to the airfield but i have never been.Is it a good combination of old and new or is there more emphasis either way ?.
Would like to get as close as possible to statics [wouldn’t we all ] Is this possible?.

Where is the disabled parking for the airshow? Im interested in going as long as it is not miles from the airfield.
Near the flightine I believe.

Shoreham is a fantastic show, one of my favourite on the circuit. A great mix of new and old… You can get nice and close to the aircraft on the ground (and in the Catalina!), the airport is lovely and there is always a great atmosphere.
Go! You won’t regret it. 🙂

Definately.
These days, I would say there is more emphasis on the historic types than modern at Shoreham (although maybe I am a bit biased). You are probably almost as close to the parked aircraft as you would be on the Flightline walk at DX, so yes – you are pretty close (although there is a barrier).
