I enquired only as I was unaware of any aircraft having come down in Shoreham Harbour. But from what you say, it would appear that the parts come from an aircraft that crashed offshore. Maybe they’ve been washed ashore at Shoreham as a result of the recent storms.

To the best of my knowledge they were ‘beachcombed’ as in picked up off the shore.

Were they found in Shoreham Harbour or, perhaps, landed at Shoreham Harbour after being trawled up out to sea? If the former, were they found in the Southwick Canal or in the Adur?

Advised the finder to carefully look for any numbers or inspection stamps, long shot, but you never know!
yes, multiple times ive looked at the parts ive found, no stamps or nothing, spraying the parts with WD40 MASSIVLY helps spot stamps etc, and looking back at the same parts I notice stamps on parts I thought had none beforehand, very very easy to dismiss the fact theres nothing when there very well could be, magnifying glass and a good source of light directed onto it often helps too

That is a challenge, the bigger bit I would be surprised if it has any marks, the surface has that dusty surface corrosion on it, I find a few bit like that regularly, the smaller bit might be more hopeful.
My bigger bits I posted the other day were in better shape but didn’t yield any stamps etc

[QUOTE=Dr Strangelove;2293922]Showed up on a Facebook group, found at Shoreham harbour, looks aircraftish to me, & knowing how so many of you enjoy a challenge how ever impossible it may seem, any clues as to what it may be from. 😀
you got the facebook groups page? wonder if theres any part numbers etc on them, one piece looks to have black nightfighter paint on it
