I saw these rehearsing as I arrived and as a former glider pilot it made my rear end feel uncomfortable…That tow rope is only a few feet below the one in front
Otherwise the show felt a bit flat – possibly due to the low cloud which caused the parachutists to cancal and the BBMF Lancaster to clear off after a couple of passes as cloudbase was below its display limits and perhaps because I had seen some of the displays at Dunsfold last week.

..but the Tucano hasn’t – caught here in a roll

The Bestmann gave a lively display
..as did the Jungmeister
but the Tornadoes only gave us a couple of noisy passes and only came past as singletons when fully swept
