Hi Everyone,
I am new to this forum I am a Documentary photographer and I have just completed a short film
https://vimeo.com/77636803
on Retired German pilot and engineer Werner Kroll is “the custodian” of the only salvaged Dc-3 aircraft wreck turned campervan in existence. I was compelled to make this video in order to share the history of both this incredible man and amazing machine .
Please view and enjoy .
Warmest thoughts,
Dean

facinating stuff if I remember correctly there are a couple of odd conversions in the USA one of them being a camper converted from a HH53 helicopter,it featured on the TV a few years ago about a company who did odd ball vehicle conversions be nice to see photo’s of that if it still exists.

I notice there is a messerschmitt kr200 in the background at the end!
Aha! You spotted that too. Good catch. I had to go back and look at it again.

Properly eccentric – he could be English…..

Excellent.
I share his sentiment at the end, we are merely custodians of our historic items if we want them to carry on after we are gone, so it is important to ensure we plan for that.
