Now thats more like it Ant i reckon if they can’t find room for both wings to join the airframe then let somewhere else display it.

Nice pics DuxHawk,
I put up a few of her after my visit a few months ago and there were some some ‘interesting’ comments to say the least…!

Thanks Ant i just checked your thread seems people feel the same as me on this,i honestly can’t understand how such a rare airframe can be treated this way and i can honestly say while i waited to take these photos nobody even looked at her they just walked by.

Trouble with that is you’ll tip the Rolls Royce TMR ‘Flying Bedstead’ on it’s nose in the background! 😀

But seriously, it’s a good example of how NOT to do it. And better still, the general punters don’t get to appreciate the aircraft properly – it’s tucked behind a pillar – and with a big chunk missing (one wing, and the whole of the undercarriage) and being an odd looking thing anyway, you really can’t figure out what it IS meant to look like! Bad show, Sci Mus.

Cheers

Neither SC1 or Bedstead are really presented so the public can understand the history behind them and is easy to walk past them they would be better presented together with P1127 as the pioneers V/STOL and how the Uk perfected it and built the Harrier, they own all three types its a pity not to show them better.
