Well, myself and Paul made a trip to LBA in search of sunshine and 757’s ;).
We got the 757’s, but didn’t get much on the sunshine front! Light and weather went downhill quickly! My 1st serious photography at LBA when on runway 14, which was fantastic.
Anyway, here’s the shots I got, enjoy 🙂
(I’m sure Paul’s awesome work will be on a bit later :)).

Great shots Tom. I love the LS 757 head on! It was such a shame the weather as so appalling!

Hi Lee,
The reason it would have been so quiet is because it was a Sunday, weekdays are much better.
Jet2 757’s generally arrive around 3 o clock, the general rule is one from ALC, one from AGP, then at least one departs again at night usually both.
Busiest times at LBA are from around 15:30 until around 19:00.
Hope that helps 🙂

What is the best time to bag the 75’s on the deck together?
Gary and I were at LBA yesterday morning, and soon realised from the arrivals on the LBAI website that there were no arrivals for 2 1/2 hours, so we gave up and drove to MAN. Pleasant 100 mile round trip on the M62 for no reason. I suppose i should have checked arrivals before i left home, although i never thought of LBA as being that quiet.
By the time we got to MAN it was chucking it down and we had missed the Qatari.
The AVP breakfast and lunch made up for the dismal aircraft activity.

It was gloriously sunny when we set off!
Looks like you and Paul have inherited my rain god powers, mate!
Definitly! Whenever we see rain, or cloud, the conversation generally turns ‘Lance Casey’ related for some reason ;).
Thanks once again for the comments, guys :).

I like the last one Tom! The rest are very good too 😀
One of the Jet2 75’s passed directly over MAN yesturday, i’d say about 10,000ft on departure. Suprised me i have to say!
