Firstly, what a wonderful show! Apart from the cold and somewhat grey weather the flying more than made up for it.
Particular highlights for me were: Peter Teichman in Jumpin’ Jacques – first time I’ve seen this Mustang ‘in the metal’ and would easily rate it as one of the best solo 51 displays I’ve seen. The Anson, lovely sound and very well displayed. The ‘Shuttlewaffe’ first time all together was a treat, the Klemm looks superb. A very spirited display by the Seafire put an instant smile on the face and of course the Edwardian’s were just fantastic to see. It must have been chilly up there! :p
Thanks to the pilots, crew, organisers and everyone else who makes it all possible. I can’t believe it’s taken me three years to get to Old Warden again… roll on May!
Secondly, here are some pictures from yesterday’s display taken by my friend Chris Colby who used this opportunity to test his new camera, so any constructive criticism is more than welcome!
