Another random trawl through memories of Old Warden..

Anthony Smith’s Santos Dumont dirigible (which I think sank to earth behind the trees!)
Rothmans team in full flow
A regular visitor, the YAK C11
The Hind as originally restored in Afghan markings
Cessna 195
Mew Gull
Another passing airship
The much missed Fairey Flycatcher replica
The Edgley Optica…used to report on the local traffic jam
Black 6..too rarely seen coming round the bend
Cierva autogyro..taxiable only unfortunately
Sea Harrier. Fondly remembered.
Another of Hawkers beautiful silvered wings
Grosvenor House. When will we see this wonderful sight again?
No excuses for another look
DH Humming Bird
Lake LA-4 visiting (on wheels)
Sound and fury to wake those in the back seats
And a pair of Gypsy Queens to soothe them
and the Gladiator in an old set of clothes…

It is sobering how many of those performers are no longer flying for our enjoyment.
At least 8 ( just looking at ‘revisited 2’ ) π

I don’t recall a touch and go but here’s the Jaguar at the September 1980 day. Cloudy and dull, as you can see, and the Jaguar was always difficult to photograph in monochrome…

Fast pass with vortices
Slow and dirty
Last run

Excellent photographs (both threads); thanks for posting.
Concorde at Old Warden must have been incredible; it seems almost inconceivable that such a sight will never be seen again! π
Sea Harrier too; as you say, sadly missed. Apparently an RAF Jaguar did a touch-and-go at Old Warden one year; I donβt suppose you have a photograph? π
