Shuttleworth Spit scrubbed Sunday

Apologies if this has already been reported but Shuttleworth Facebook page is saying that AR501 not flying season premiere due to bad weather preventing final testing and fettling.

Anyone know if this aircraft is likely to make the evening show this weekend?

The way we were. AR501 in 1954.

A recent eBay purchase.

Philip, Many thanks for confirming where this was published. Although disappointing it is of course for the right reasons. Those of us going will still have a cracking time and no doubt AR501 will be proudly on ground display in the sun – who knows, we may also even get an engine run?

Season Premiere Displaying Aircraft | Shuttleworth

Last item in the list:

Supermarine Spitfire Mk Vc display cancelled due to the recent unseasonably wet weather and associated airfield conditions, the Spitfire has been unable to complete its flight testing schedule in time to participate in the show

91Regal – I have just checked and can see nothing on either the Shuttleworth website, facebook page or twitter feed that confirms what you are reporting. Can you give a link to where you have seen this as Facebook isn’t exactly the most reliable platform to view messages on?

Thanks,

Steve.
