Thanks to the traffic on the M25 I didn’t get there in time to take advantage of the ‘uncovered’ aspect.
When I got there it was very cloudy but as the day went on it got brighter and later on the wind dropped and the Edwardians were able to fly. The downside was that the camera decided that it was really dark.
For this show I left my normal site near the control tower and went down the airfield in search of a different aspect. Only trouble was that it was close to the pen with the goats and llhamas so I had lots of flies for company.
The show started with a couple of gliders. This one is the Falcon

The DH51 and Parnall Elf

Hawker Hind

Demon

Gladiator

Tomtit

Tutor

P40

By the time the Edwardians came out to play it was nearly dark and the shutter speeds were very low and the ISO was high so apologies for the graininess
Deperdussin

Blackburn

In the cold air the Bleriot went very well

notice the light on the radio mast

and finished up by TURNING to land uphill on the short runway
Perhaps someone closer has a better picture

Alas no. By the time he got to me Willie, in the Scud, was almost on the ground with the Blackburn above.
Previously I have gone near the control tower to get topside shots as they go around the corner but after seeing Flygirl’s efforts I decided that it was time for a change although I did wish that I was up the other end as the Deperdussin and Bleriot both turned on to the short runway to land
