Shuttleworth Walkabout – 30 Apr 09

Don’t know if they realised what hit them, but a coach load of us descended the Shuttleworth Collection today courtesy of the Forces Development Squadron at RAF Wyton. The SE5 had a brief stint outside with an engine run and then a bit of ‘bling’ afterwards.

Brilliant shots, thanks for sharing with us, I’m sure I’m not the only one who would like to see more if you have them.

I can only agree with other comments, these are some of the best pictures i have seen posted. Please share your secret with the forum, what type of camera do you use, and are you an experienced photographer with tips you can share. These are just great – all credit to you and thanks for posting.

There is no secret. I use a Sony Alpha 350 and belong to the point and shoot brigade. All the inside shots were taken with the camera set on ‘AUTO’, I let it do all the working out, and the Jpeg images are processed in Elements 7.

Is it just me or does anyone else think the DH twin Airliners are some of the most beautiful aircraft made!!!

The four engined ones weren’t bad either.:)

Brian

The third shot of the SE5 is beautifully composed with the wooden facade of the hangar in the background giving a real period feel to the pic. 🙂
