Mil holds several Sikorsky awards for helicopter design.
Regarding the S-55/Mi-4 design has always had a fashion element. There is also the factor of technology limiting what a designer can or cannot do. Given similar requirements similar results are common.

i know that mil stole the idea of the S-55 to build mil 4 hound
dont know if this was only the apperence or also the blueprints
i dont know if they did things together maybe now they do
