Simple question about Anchorage airport

its one of the busiest airports for cargo traffic in the US along with Kentucky.
What aspects of its location (or is it something else) that has made it busy? most of the other heavy cargo traffic airports are usually major cities like Shanghai or Los Angeles while Anchorage is not as major.
