Does anyone have information about this replica? Or any pics?
Are the plans still being sold?
Any help appreciated.

That looks like a lot of good stuff for just £750. At that price would make a garden play thing, but probably deserves better.

Neat little aircraft. Bet he’s had a load of fun flying that. It is registered N33000 and first flew in 1990.

No, this was more recent than that, as there was a snippet about it in the LAA mag a few years ago. The builder’s first name was Earl, and most of the fuselage framework had been done at the time.

The only one registered in the UK was G-BJSH, this was cancelled as exported to Australia in 1996.

Daz – do you have a movie or sound sample of the V-6 powered one?

Is this Sindlinger replica on the NZ register the same one that was built in the late 1980’s by Dave Comrie here in NZ? I started a thread on my Wings Over New Zealand forum about this earlier in the week here

I believe there is also a two-seater varient, and with an open cockpit as well.
What a little beauty, Sidney Camm would be proud.

According to Phil’s article, the fuselage is enlarged slightly (for pilot comfort and visibility) by four inches in both width and height.
Here’s a few more of Bob’s photos.

90% of the looks at 10% of the cost ?
I have some more pics of Bob Gibson’s Hurricane, if anyone’s interested.
Some more photos would be good.
They may not have the perfect proportions of the real thing, but 90% of the looks at 10% of the cost is a lot better than no plane at all.

Daz – when I’ve had a few whiskeys I can understand (just) your kit spit thing – but that ‘urricane mate – its bleedin ‘orrible!
TT
Well, each to their own, TT. I find it quite cute, for a Hurricane-lookalike.
