Singapore adds more 777 services to Mumbai

Singapore Airlines (SIA) today announced that it has added two daylight flights on the Mumbai-Singapore-Mumbai sector.
This is in addition to the thrice-weekly daylight flights that were launched in October last year.
These daylight flights SQ 421/SQ 422 operate on five days of the week — Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They depart from Mumbai at 1130 hrs and arrive in Singapore at 1915 hrs for connecting flights to Australia, New Zealand and a number of other destinations in Asia.
Together with the daily night flights, SIA now operates 12 flights a week on the Mumbai-Singapore-Mumbai sector. The daylight flights are operated by Boeing B777-200 aircraft and the night flights by slightly larger Boeing B777-300 aircraft.
SIA has also announced a special offer to passengers flying the daylight flights in April and May. Passengers flying to selected destinations in Asia, Australia and New Zealand will be able to enjoy a two-night hotel stay in Singapore on their return journey for only one US dollar.
The airline currently operates 31 passenger flights per week from five cities in India — Mumbai (12 flights) Delhi and Chennai (both daily), Bangalore (3 flights) and Kolkata (2 flights).
Besides this, SIA subsidiary Silk Air operates 11 flights per week to three cities — Hyderabad (4 flights), Kochi (4 flights) and Thiruvananthapuram (3 flights).
