Singapore Airlines B747 upper deck artwork

Some years ago I came across an ex-SIA 747 with pictorial artwork at the rear bulkhead of the upper deck. This was commissioned by SIA and the work of Chieu Shuey Fook. I understand all the 747s had these panels.

As I remember it was of typical oriental scenes punched on sheet metal.

Does any of this still exist and where might it be seen, and does it have any value for art collectors?

I tried SIA, but like their aircraft, there is nobody old enough to remember.

Many thanks, Mike. I will have a chase around. Apologies for the delay, old computer wouldn’t recognise the site.

So the trick will be to look for where the fleet finished up

SX-OAC, SX-OAE with Olympic still had the SIA panels when they went to the scrap man:

SX-OAD is still at Bruntingthorpe, no idea if the upper deck cabin is intact. A call to GJD at Brunty may answer that for you.

Airfleets lists the onward operators as pax or freighter birds so running the reg’s may yield something.
